The Department of Education has announced that classes in public schools will start on June 5.
DepEd assisstant secretary Tonisito Umali said in an advisory that classes remain set for "the first Monday of June". The previous year ended on April 7. An academic year consist of 202 school days.
Private school, meanwhile, could start classes until the last day of August according to Umali.
